Interactive Resource on Birds: Who’s calling?
On World Environment Day 2021, HBCSE launched a beta-version of an interactive educational resource on BIRDS!!
Just tap on the bird and listen to its call!

Keeping in mind the online era we now find ourselves in (more so in a pandemic), we were inspired by this resource to make an Indian version depicting some common species found across our country. So we undertook a small project to make the data we had collected about birds sighted on campus, more interactive. We hope that educators (and any curious individual) may find it interesting to use this to initiate conversation around nature observation.
Currently, the interface has taken into account the relative size of the birds and allows users to engage with audio-visual cues w.r.t birds.
This is work-in-progress and we do have plans to improve this version and add more features. Please do visit the website and we would love to get your feedback on this!
